Loosing...

Minus 2.2kg since I got the scale, but between that I almost went over 100kg (again) but now it looks like it's going the right way.

Im early spring I was out walking since it was almost impossible to ride a bike in the slushy snow, it was really exhausting to walk in the loose snow and it seems like that was the source for my problem with my fot, I've got a heel spur in my left foot and the inflammation is still causing ache when I walk. =(
Thankfully I have no problem riding a bike, actually it was recommended on one of the sites where I read up on heel spur. Apparently there is not much one can do than wait until the inflammation goes away...

Made it under 93kg this morning! :)

Finally!

This is a what I have been waiting for, many years ago I wondered why nobody had made a scale with wireless connection before, or a scale that connects to a logging device.

Well, there has been scales that do log the weight but they were not really aimed at the consumer market, more towards medical sector and they are expensive! Apparently this one costs about 1500:- Sek, shipping excluded...

Weight update #12

Not much happening, weight is still going in the right direction, with small steps. Not much biking this week, raining almost all the time.
This weekend it's been raining since I stepped out of office, started with small drops and by the time I was home it was pouring down! And it has continued until now... :(

Well, the good thing about that is that I started to clean up the apartment, it is in dire need of cleaning! Even managed to rise the stove to the level of the kitchen bench, only took two years to get around doing it. :)

Blood pressure isn't changing much, thought perhaps there would be more correlation with the weight on the other hand it might require more change in the weight department before it shows, maybe a good thing? ;)
Today I also got use of my gift card I got at my birthday, a massage that I have been keeping to be used when I really needed it but never came around using it after the Spain-trip or after getting aches from downhilling a full day in Gesunda.

Were very tense in my neck and shoulders, will be interesting to see if I will feel anything from the massage the coming days...

Weight update #11

95,6Kg two days in a row! 0,6Kg to get under 95 and then it's not that far to reach the first goal!

The local Pizza baker asked me today if I had lost weight and looked disappointed. ;)

Think I will weight over 96kg tomorrow morning due to the delicious Kebab pizza this evening but it was worth it!
Time to catch some sleep now!

Weight update #10

Long time, no update on the weight! Been silly busy lately, don't know where all the time goes?!

Well, here is the latest charts:
Removed the "flat line' from the Spain week, the chart looks more consistent this way. The weight is fluctuating quite a lot, so is the "exercise", some days I sit still in the office for a day and some days I spend 6-7h on a bike riding all day long!

The important thing is that the weight has a downward trend! :)

Today I weighted 98kg, spent almost all Saturday on a bike riding down hill in Gesunda, I drank 3 litres of water and at least 1 litre of coke during the day! Pretend that 2 is a 0. ;)
Blood pressure chart:
Missed taking blood pressure medicine a few days now, the pressure seems to stay in reasonable levels anyway but I can't imagine it's good to go without it too long.

The lower pressure has gone up slightly, I have no clue if that's good or bad the upper pressure has dropped and that I know is good as long as it don't drop too low. :)

Pulse is on a hardly noticeable lowering trend.

Weight update #9

Over two weeks since last weight report, away one week in Spain and no energy to make a report last weekend. =)

Gained a kilo or two in Spain, no wonder even if we were active almost all day. lots of beer, junk food and regular food. The starters at the restaurants were as big as the main courses here in Sweden! One learned fast to just settle with the main course even if one was really hungry.

Well, the weight gain has one positive result, I can reuse the weight photos!

Open office seemed dislike fields with no data so I had to enter the same weight (98,8) on the whole Spain week, that explains the plateau in the end part of the curves.
Interestingly the lower blood pressure seems to have gone up lately.
Not progressing as fast anymore, had hoped that the increase of exercise would help keep the weight down and I suspect it's not just a growth of muscle mass...

Late weight update - #9

Wasn't at home this weekend so the usual update on Sunday was forgotten, but here it is now, perhaps the result has kept me from posting this earlier? ;)

98,2KG on the scale this morning.

The weight seems to have been standing still lately, I was however surprised that I hadn't gained more weight since I ate a lot of candy and drank a few beers during the trip!
Almost same weight as two weeks ago...

The blood pressure still on a downward trend.
Whole next week will be spent in Spain, read on Happymtb.org about others that been to Spain on a biking trip and they had gained a few kilos, he didn't mention if it was muscle mass or fat. ;)

Weight update #8

Another weight update. Made it under 98kg this week! Didn't think it would happen this week but I made it! =)

Today:
Chart:
Blood pressure and pulse chart:
With all the snow now melting fast there will hopefully soon be some dry enough trails available in the woods and that should result in some more bike rides and that in turn some fat burning exercise! =)

Weight update #7

Things are going more or less according to plan, managed to loose more weight than I thought this week, wasn't that far away from getting under 98kg but the lowest weight this week was 98,2! That despite the fact I ate a big plate of iskender kebab this Thursday! It was delicious! =)

Several days of biking this week might have helped keeping the weight from gaining. This morning I weighted 99kg.

Updated graph:
Roughly 5 kg in 7 weeks so far. A bit less than the initial 1kg a week plan, but still ok for me. I suppose it will get harder to loose weight further on but hopefully the weather will improve and the outdoor activities will increase.

The blood pressure seems to be going the right way also, following the weight down!
Since it's going the right way right now I will continue on the beaten path and try to increase the 'exercise' if I can. There are some trips coming up in the near future and that sure will put me to the test of resisting temptations! :)

Weight update #6

Yet another Sunday, yet another weight update!

Tommorow it's 42 days ago since I started to keep record of my weight for the "competition" of who will treat the other with a Mongolian buffet when the goal weight is reached!

I have been doing pretty well to say it my self, last few days I have been under 99Kg! But last night there was a movie night a Tobbes place and I think it all was a part of a cunning plan to fatten me by serving delicious snacks and exlusive beers!! ;)

So this morning I was back a 100Kg! Though, it felt like it was worth it, it was good beer! Thanks Tobbe... =)

About the mini movie "festival" all four of us were to bring a movie and explain why it was a movie you wanted to see. I won't get in to that but it was a very diverse selection of movies we watched. In the order we saw them:

1 - American Graffiti
2 - Spririted away (Sen to Chihiro no kamikakushi)
3 - Kung Fu Hustle
4 - Brain Dead

Decided to change the chart to a less cluttered one now that the days are starting to pile up.

Not that positive end for me of the chart this time, thinking about taking a walk before dinner today.

Just for the sake of it, a while ago I started to keep notes of my blood pressure, to see how it correlates with the weight. Thought it would be interessting to see how it behaves as I (hopefully) loose weight. Only been measuring it for roughly three weeks so far.
The red line is connected to the Y-axis on the right side. With other words the systolic and diastolic pressure are not that close as it appears when looking at the chart. :)
Whats interssting is to see that the blood pressure also is on a decreasing trend!

Tobe did not only offer beer to drink:
乾杯! Kampai! (Kanpai!)

Weight update #5

Fifth week passed quicky, weight still going down but it feels like it's stuck around 100kg but it's on the right side of 100. Hopefully I can start doing some more "exercise" now that I'm no longer having a cold! =)

The trend is clear even if the last week looks a bit flat.
As I wrote, I'll try to get out some more this week, today a took a 2h stroll around Ludvika and shot some photos, wonderful spring day today!

Weight update #4

It's been a frustrating week, weight wise that is. Was stuck on last weeks weight several days this week before it started to go the right way again. It's really easy to get dejected and start 'cheating'! Luckily I got my "Will of iron"! ;)

Well, the week that started in a negative way ended in a great way. Managed to get under 100kg for the first time in a looong time!! Hardly remember when the last time I weighted something measurable in two digits!

The chart is starting to look more interesting now that there's some more data in it.

Almost got 1/3 of the way done so far! That's approximately 4kilos a month, so if the weight loss keep the same rate it would take around four month to get to the goal weight.

Weight update #3

Third week has gone by and the trend is continuing, except a big jump the wrong way this morning, perhaps easily explained considering yesterdays activities. Including a lunch buffet at a Chinese restaurant. =)

More about that activity as soon as I have processed the images and videos! I was a very nice day though.

Still on the same strategy, trying to keep the size of the portions on a 'normal' level and avoid unnecessary junk food, actually don't know if there is such thing as necessary junk food but it tastes good and is a fast way to get food... ;)

Treat me!

Pastry of the day. After the sushi we went to the local cafe, spoiled my self with a glazed doughnut and to my surprise it was filled with vanilla cream! Deadly delicious! ;)

The red "dot" in the middle was a strawberry chocolate filled with chili fudge, should have skipped that one...

Weight update #2

Follow up from last week and it's going the right way! It's been almost too easy so far, still trying to avoid junk food and cut down on portion sizes, nothing revolutionary.

After 14 days the trend is more evident than after just one week, haven't made any predictions but 1kg a week would be somewhat ideal tempo to keep loosing weight.

I think I will continue on the beaten path and see how far it will go and when it starts to level out go for the next level!

Well, this is worth celebrating! :)

First update

Update of the current weight after the first week. Considering I have been at home almost all that time doing nothing but watching TV I think it's ok. Have tried to cut down on the junk-food. =)

Roughly 1kg. Well that's how much the weight can differ during one day so it really doesn't tell much, but if I can keep that up in the coming weeks it would be great!

Think I got carried away doing charts in Open Office. :)

The coming weeks I will try to get some more exercise and perhaps take some walks!

Let the games begin!

Yesterday Tobbe posted a entry on his blog about his increasing weight. In the comments I dared him with a bet, the first one to reach 90kg will be treated a free 'Mongolian' buffet at the local Chinese restaurant paid by the 'looser'! =)

I feel I need a goal to get motivated to loose weight and even if I consider my self noncompetitive this will certainly help me to keep focused!

Tobbe thought the bet would be unfair since I weight slightly under 105kg. =)

So the final deal ended up like this: The first one who will reach his target weight will win, in my case 90kg and in Tobbes case 85kg

Once a week I will try to post a follow up on my weight here and when it (hopefully) starts to get closer to the target weight I will post more regularly!

If I loose I still hope it will have helped me to loose some weight and that can only be a good thing, may the less fat man win!

Just a note about the weight, when I were about to take the photo of the scale I noticed I weighted over 105kg! Then it hit me that I was holding the camera in my hands! :)
