Hands on hand adjusting.
Noticed that my Seiko Orange/Black Monster started to lag behind with the hour hand, quite annoying since it got hard to properly read the time some times.
Not really sure when this happened but I suspect it was the watch repairman that replaced the black hands with white ones and after which the minute hand got loose and I had to return the watch to get it fixed (for free but anyway...)
So one evening when I had let the watch stay still for a few days til it stopped moving I opened it to try adjust the hour hand.
I had found a service manual on the net for the movement that is in the Seiko Monster, 7S26B: http://forums.watchuseek.com/f365/seiko-calibers-technical-repair-manuals-299038.html

I have no clue if this is the correct way to do it but it worked for me! =)
Took the opportunity to blow away some dust that the watch repairer had left in my watch, I later saw a video how to replace the crystal and there he covered the movement with a small glass that prevented dust from getting in.
The video did not turn out as I wanted, I used the new Windows Live Movie Maker that comes with Windows 7 and it was pure crap! 4GB memory was apparently not enough to be able to save a 5 minute long video in HD-quality and of course I find that out after I did all the edits. Do I need to get a Mac to be able edit movies without major effort?!

The Road
Watched The Road last night, it's from 2009 but somehow I manged to miss it when it was on the cinema.
Was surprised how it lacked the typical over the top post apocalyptic elements that's usually associated with this genre and stayed more true to actual reality. Even though one some times wonder over some of the decisions made by the characters.
I think I will try to read Cormac McCarthy's book that the movie is based on and see if that clears some of the questions...
One of the best dystropian movies I have seen lately, it's very dark and not very hopeful but I still strongly recommend seeing it!

"Hell, it's about time!"
It's finally here!
Starcraft 2 has landed! And if the Swedish postal service gets it's thumbs out of it's a** I might have it in the mailbox today...
If they ever make a full length movie in the same class as the game trailer I would stand in line at the cinema! =)

Haven't even seen the Swedish movie or even read the book yet and here is the trailer of the U.S. version (of Låt den rätte komma in(Let the right one in)):
Apparently it's the same director who directed Cloverfield. I like the track in the trailer, by a group named Placebo. (Had to check them out on Spotify...)

Scotland, 2:nd day, Innerlethien.
Yes, a bit late post, it's been crazy, I need to switch to 36h days! :)
But here's the photos from the second day, which we spent in Innerleithen, the trail is just a few minutes away on a bike! =)
Getting our gear out of the shed.
Since we had one person in the hospital there was a full suspension bike over and Jomper went to the local bike shop to get the pedals exchanged, we didn't have powerful enough tools to remove them. Rest of us waiting...
Finally we were done and on our way!
Had to cross the one way bridge over Tweed.
At the trail head. Another day with amazing weather!
Yup, up there somewhere went the trail!
We started to get used to the climbing that every ride started with.
Some good excuses to stop and shoot some photos of the scenery on the way up.
More trails.
Starting to get some height.
While biking it was possible to enjoy the sights.
Plenty of them!
More climbing after a short brake.
Into the scary dark woods.
Will the climb ever stop?!
Apparently not...
Perhaps soon?
Wow! The climb was certanly worth the while!
Happy faces in the heat!
Not far now.
Ah! A well deserved brake was in place.
People disappeared in to the thick heather! =)
What suits better than some IRN BRU to get back some strength?! ;)
I look a bit worn after the climb but I blame the sun!
Time to get a snack out of the bag.
I've had worse pick nick places! I could go home now and be satisfied!

What a day, we were all exhausted from the ride this morning.
More strengthening IRN BRU!

Well, after a hour or two we decided that the last ride was sooo nice so we decided to go for yet another one now that we had rested a while. The now familiar climb once more!
The views were still spectacular.
We decided to make "shortcut".
Per looks through the... What ever it now was.
Some art project. The Resolution Point.
This is what he saw.
The day had been fantastic and the evening was as good!
Time to go down again!!!

After getting back and getting ready for dinner we decided to go to a restaurant since no one felt like cooking food... ;)
The food wasn't as amazing as the rest of the day but who cared? The plate was emptied in no time and a few more beers found their way down the throat.
Now it was just a matter of leaning back and cherish the memories from today, just one bad thought poped up, "Why are we staying only three days?!".

Up to the limit!
After a few short rides on relatively easy trails it's was time to see how the "new" and improved Surly Pugsley would preform on some more demanding surfaces!
I left work shortly after 16, got home and quickly changed into bike gear and went out, since the wind was blowing hard I made a wise decision to do the planned ride in reverse, by doing this I got the wind in my back while transporting my self across the town to the trail head! :)
Turned out to be a good decision, the wind was hardly noticeable in the woods and there the speed was way slower! ;)
On the way I passed the stream that was dry so I could not resist going down and try the slick rocks in the dry river bed.
After enjoying that I had to try the slick rocks at Hällarna too.
Nice day, but windy.
It's almost possible to keep on the rocks all the way on the beach.
Made it all the way to the trail head at the end (or start?) of Lake Haggen, and with only a few short detours. ;)
From the trail head it's a long steep climb. When I got past the worst parts, I met this sight, snow! *Brrrr*
Doesn't show how bad I was sweating after the climb. ;)
Some spring streams still active from the melting snow.
Someone build a tower of stones where the trail splits.
Didn't have to ride for long on the less used trail before I came across a tree that had fallen straight over the trail.
In some kind of magic way the tree suddenly split and it was possible to ride past without problem. ;)
That was just the beginning, lost track of how many trees that was blocking the passage, luckily most of them were smaller than the first one but this was by far the most clogged one!
Yet again the trees just magically disappeared!
Fortunately there were not many trees after that and I could make good time to the terrain track, that one was cleared using chain saws! Ran across this sign. Think it said "No mountain bikes". ;)
Some disturbed individual think they can apply their own rules in a "public" forest, wonder what it takes to get that pathetic?
After that sign it was all joy running down the hill towards home!
After over 2h on the bike I was hungry, decided to make cannelloni for the first time in my life, didn't have Parmesan at home so I used cheaper cheese instead, still tasted wonderful! Have to make it again with the right ingredients...
GPS-plot:
Starting to regret I put gears on the Pugsly. Now I have no excuses left NOT to use it for the trails I have avoided because of all the climbing! ;)
I can also conclude that there is no need for a chain guide in the front, the chain stayed put despite my efforts to make it shake loose! Used the gears in both extremes, high/low over rough terrain and I trust it will work all the time, that's enough for me!
