Barren wastelands

Stumbled over some older photos taken with my Nikon D80 and Nikkor 50mm/f1.8, think it was about the same time when I bought the 50mm lens. The shots are taken in the same area, near a lake called Glaningen.

The exposures was a bit off but I had shot in RAW so I decided to brush them up a bit i ViewNX.

Think I got a me a few "keepers". =)

Dragon fly:
Broken barrel:
Sludge:
Rust bug:
Whithered thistle:

Antenna bug:
Old stumpy:

  1. IMHO: The dragon fly could be super if you crop it hard on the left side, just a bit left of the left wing.

The contrast between the red old board and the black is super and the wing going over the two makes it an really interesting photo. But the black on the left makes the contrast less striking.

  2. Yeah, you right, didn't crop any of the photos except the last one.
